Eau du Soir by Sisley is a 1990 Chypre Floral Eau de Parfum for women created by the extraordinary trio of Jeannine Mongin, Hubert d’Ornano, and Isabelle d’Ornano a fragrance of the great classical chypre tradition at its most opulent, most multi-layered, and most enduringly beautiful. The opening is bright, citrus-fresh, and of an immediately distinguished clarity: Grapefruit opens with its clean, slightly bitter citrus vivacity; and Mandarin Orange the sweetest, most warmly rounded of the citrus family, with its softly honeyed, slightly floral citrus warmth joins with a golden, gentle luminosity that lifts the grapefruit’s sharpness into an opening of warm, balanced citrus distinction the last light of the afternoon before the evening begins.
