The opening is vivid, dark-fruited, and immediately arresting: Black Cherry deep, jammy, slightly tart, and with a vinous richness that sets it apart from lighter fruit notes opens with dark, concentrated intensity, instantly establishing Elixir’s more serious, more opulent character. Clary Sage the aromatic, slightly herbal, subtly musky relative of culinary sage, notable for being the natural source of sclareol, a precursor of ambroxide adds an aromatic, slightly camphoraceous depth that bridges fruit and fougère with effortless, sophisticated authority. Bergamot and Lemon lift the opening with sparkling citrus clarity and refined freshness, keeping the dark cherry vivid and alive.
